I acquired this little embroidery a few years ago, it features delicate flowers stitched on gauze in petit point with silk threads.
In the Victorian era cards, gifts and small embroideries often had the French word ' Souvenir' on them....maybe this had been a present to a departing friend ?

ReplyDeleteNo ! It is all in petit point. The stitches are really tiny, and even. For sure the work of a lady, not a child !
