My ten years old daughter Emilie is knitting all the time, actually she can knit a scarf in just about 4-5 days.
She's left handed so it took a little strategy to explain her how it work, but she got it pretty quickly and now is knitting scarves as presents for everyone in the family, and even her flute teacher got a new scarf.
I'm a little afraid though that she will become a yarn addict, as she is continualy asking me to get her new yarns and colors, despite the fact she has a box full already......
