The original sampler

   

     Last week I did something I had never done before - duplicate a sampler from photos.

    Nannette in the US asked me to chart a sampler she had that had been stitched by either her grandmother, or great aunt some 80 year ago....

    Of course there was no way I could actually touch and see for myself this family heirloom, so I did the best I could from numerous photos she provided.

    I am very pleased with the results, and Nannette gave me permission to share the sampler with you.
