Mourning embroidery

   Here is a punch paper embroidery in my collection ( also known as Bristol board ).

   It is done in long stitch and has a photo of the deceased. The photograph is quite faded, but it shows a middle age lady wearing a hat.

   Punch paper embroidery was very popular, and there was a large variety availble with the pattern already printed on.
